Set in an abandoned mine, this hillside hotel aims to combine two sensations; the mountain offers guests the freedom of heights, while the cauldron grants the quiet of contemplation. The nature of the quarried rocks determines the shape and massing of the hotel.
The hotel divides the cauldron into an inner courtyard and a spacious area. The damage that quarrying has caused to the landscape is rebuilt in an organic way by the shape of the hotel.
Its moving form creates exciting and ever-changing interiors, which guests will find a special experience to explore.
